Why CLTC reads so high

CLTC (China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle) is built around urban Chinese driving: lots of low speed, gentle acceleration, and very little sustained highway running. High-speed cruising is exactly where EVs burn energy fastest, so a cycle that underweights it produces the most optimistic numbers of any major standard. The realistic discount: expect 65–75%
